More technical than the Google certificate from the start. Python and Jupyter come in the first courses, rather than spreadsheets. The better pick if you already know you want the programming side of data work. The harder pick if you have never written code.

Skip it also if you already program. You will move faster assembling the same stack (pandas, visualization, a model or two) from documentation and a project.

Use that: a week inside the first course tells you whether the pace fits, and no review can do that. The free week plus an honest self-assessment is the cheapest fork-decision in the catalog.

Three questions before you enroll

1. Have I written any code at all? "None but willing" is fine; "none and dreading it" predicts month-two abandonment.
2. Certificate via subscription or Coursera Plus — which is cheaper for my realistic pace?
3. What dataset do I care about enough to carry through the capstone?
